...A farm, a tornado, a girl, her dog, and three friends following a yellow brick road. Are there qualities that the three friends possess that are evidenced in the life of our church?

The Scarecrow...we nee to have wisdom
The Tin Woodsman...we need to have heart
The Lion...we need to have courage

Colclusion: Bur what about the Wizard? The Wizard was and still is "our crutch... our trump card...". Strong congrgegations peer behind the curtain and choose something more valuable instead.

What about Dorothy? She's the champion! She embodies all the qualities of wisdom, heart, and courage...she is hope!

For us today, guess who takes this role?
